hehehe .. actually im quite liking it myself, thinking i will scale1d for wrist width and have it made by Shapeways in stainless.. only cost about $100..

The Cross Smiley

The brief was to make an ornate cross, 90mm high by 65mm wide with scrolly work in it..

I drew the base with Rhino to get us as far as a weight estimate then filled it in with tsplines for the curly wurly stuff Smiley

and the render.


Deskproto(64bit) made childs play of the 116mb mesh file...


then off to the mill.. roughing.. big ol block of wax Smiley


and after the rough out on three sides the final pass with a fine cutter


and finally the first cut is done, the two short arms..
