Thanks answered my question fully now i just got to get one and figure out how to connect it all up which shouldn't be hard

Exodus,

Just one point that's important - Check that your existing steppers can be operated bipolar (that the have 4, 6 or 8 wires and NOT 5). The cheap Chinese boards are almost all designed for bipolar operation of steppers.

This attachment  is pretty typical of a single board instructions and may be of interest to you.
