Mach3 will not run?

Hi there,

I used to run mach2 on a milldrill several years ago. I had no problems then. I got out of home cnc for a while and want to start again. I used to run mach on my laptop just for checking programs before sending to the CNC PC, as I know the laptop is not good for the CNC side of things. nayway, my XP SP3 laptop (HP DV8000) wont run Mach2 or Mach3. They install fine, but when i load either program i get the unexpected application error dialog box. I tried msconfig w/ minimal drivers but the sam eproblem exists.

Have others had this problem? If so, a solution would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Mlinder,

I know it's perhaps not what you want to hear but the easiest solution, I think, would be to use a PC rather than a laptop.

Did you do a reboot after installing Mach3? It should run the program. Now as far as running a machine from that laptop that's a different problem , maybe.
