You mean one of those red mushrooms headed switches, yes , but I dont know what to connect it to.

You need to connect it to an Input pin and probably ground the other side but that may depend on your breakout board.
 If you dont have it connected at  the moment you can just set Mach to Port2 Pin 10 and set the active state of that pin to Make Mach think the  switch is closed. If you are already use port2 pin 10 then choose another pin that you are not using.
